Not all Skin Tones are Created Equal

Both these machines are FDA approved and combined have the ability to treat all skin types regardless of tone because they use different wavelengths. The Gentleyag is a 1064nm Neodymium Laser and the Gentlelase is a 75nm Alexandrite Laser.  Depending on what “skin type” you are will determine what machine will be best for optimal results. For the record, “Skin Type” is determined by a grading scale based on several factors on how skin will react under ultraviolet light. This scale is this is referred to as the Fitzpatrick Scale.

The effectiveness of your laser hair removal treatment begins by using the proper laser to target the hair follicle. The laser light penetrates the hair follicle destroying the food source preventing the hair shaft from growing and within a few days it simply falls out leaving smooth silky skin.  A series of treatments are necessary because your body hair grows in stages meaning the hair that is growing today is not the same hair that will be growing next month and so on. A typical “cycle” for hair growing is generally 6 to 8 months however this varies with everyone.
